Onyi Chiedozie's baby daughter Amara 'grabbed' the bottle during a feed and held it to her mouth unaided.
She first did it at three days old and now - at three weeks old - regularly holds her bottle and pushes it aside when she is full up.
DEBATE: SHOULD A PARENT BE ALLOWED TO PIERCE THEIR BABY'S EARS?
Onyi, 20, who is using a combination of breast and bottle feeding, said everyone is amazed by her baby girl's skills.
The proud mum told SWNS TV that, after her baby bit her nipple during a feed and caused it to bleed, she was forced to turn to bottle feeding.
But then something remarkable happened.
She said: "I gave her a bottle and, straight away, she started holding it. I was so shocked - I couldn't believe that a little baby would be able to do that.
"She has a lot of strength, to hold the bottle herself… and I look forward to the future, when she will continue to do wonderful things."

Doctors and midwives are amazed that Amara, who was born at Queen's Hospital in Romford, Essex, on August 3, is able to feed herself so well.
