In the beloved Disney animation Peter Pan, Wendy, John and Michael Darling are cared for by their beloved Nana.
Only, unlike most nannies, theirs is a loveable St Bernard in a mob cap. And she's… well, she's pretty amazing at the job, pouring medicine, getting the children ready for bed in time AND stacking toy blocks up tidily.
We thought that sort of thing only existed in Disney films. Or our dreams. But, as it turns out, theirs a real-life dog who's just as good at taking care of a human baby…
Say hello to Baxter the dog, who was filmed rocking a newborn baby to sleep in front of a warming open fire.
Check. It. Out.
Doesn't baby Jarvis look peaceful?
Dad Gerrard Gethings, from Stoke Newington, filmed the delightful duo in front of the fire before uploading it on to Instagram.
He explained to the Mirror Online that he thinks baby Jarvis heard Baxter from inside the womb, which is why he finds the doggy so comforting: "I think Jarvis finds Baxter soothing, maybe because he's warm and whenever he barks at the door, Jarvis doesn't even flinch.
"They say babies hear voices from the womb, well maybe he heard Baxter barking so he's comfortable with it now."
