A video showing scores of gatecrashers forcing themselves into Wireless Festival has gone viral.

The terrifying clip shows festival security attempting to hold a gate closed as groups of people tried to hammer down barriers in an attempt to enter the grounds at Finsbury Park, London.

Festival staff soon realised that they were unable to hold back the violent crowd as they battled down the gate.

Gatecrashers ran into the site, spilling into the crowd and tripping over one another in an attempt to outrun security.

Online commentators compared the scene to that of a zombie movie, and we can see why!

The incident took place on Friday, when acts such as Drake, Major Lazer and Labrinth performed.

A spokesperson for Wireless said in a statement: "This was an isolated incident that was dealt with quickly where no-one was hurt and the perpetrators were removed on an otherwise hugely successful first day."
