VIDEO: Newborn baby won’t let go of mother as nurses try to take him away to be cleaned

A newly born baby has warmed the hearts of millions this week, as footage emerged of it clinging to its mother's face shortly after delivery.

The newborn, who was delivered via Caesarian section, screams and nuzzles into its mothers face, pawing at her face, when a nurse tries to take it away to be cleaned up.

After several failed attempts to remove the baby, the nurses let it cling onto its mother, who eventually opens her eyes and smiles at the camera - despite being obviously drowsy from the C-section.

Although the identities of mother and child are unknown, the voice in the back of the video has been suggested as Spanish or Portugese in nationality.

Looks like this little guy wasn't quite ready to leave the womb yet!
