When a Reddit user wrote a post telling readers he was contemplating suicide because he suffers from gynecomastia- a condition which causes him to grow larger breasts- Youtube user Chris replied with a link to a touching video message.
Chris addressed those who suffer from the same condition, and revealed his own struggles with gynecomastia.
‘Sorry if I offend you, believe me there’s a good purpose to this video,’ he opens the clip with.
‘I’m not depressed, not at all, yes I’m sad, but I’m not depress.’
‘I am, however, very frustrated. I’m frustrated with the cards that I’ve ben dealt and I’m frustrated that a person with my issues would look for help.’
‘People with my issue don’t talk about my issue openly,’ he adds.
‘I used to be very overweight, as you can see not so much anymore. Since I can remember, I’ve had breasts, and they’re not little… It hasn’t made my life easy, as you can imagine.’
Rather than blame depression for his feelings over his larger chest, he blames our modern culture that refuses to accept them.
‘This is not a chemical imbalance, this is here in the living flesh,’ he says.
