Headcam footage uploaded to youTube three days ago showing a cyclist being hit by a cab in London's Edgware road has garnered 73,000 views already.

The recording shows a cyclist undertaking a taxi, who appears to indicate left relatively late on, subsequently knocking the cyclist off his bike.

Although he looks shaken, the cyclist quickly gets up and dusts himself off.

He can be heard saying, "Yeah, no, that's fine. Take care" before waving goodbye and cycling off.

Sharing the video online, Daz Lin wrote:

"A scary moment from my morning commute. Could have ended a lot worse.

"Nobody seemed hurt and both parties dealt with the situation...with a handshake.

"Cyclists and drivers lookout for each other on the road!".

And the accident has divided opinions on who was in the wrong.

Commenting below the video one user wrote:

"Taxi was indicating CYCLIST WAS UNDERTAKING cyclist was wrong to do that and should be accountable".

However another argued:

"Taxi driver in the wrong. Cyclist was alongside before taxi started indicating. Looked like a last minute decision to turn and did not have time to look before the manoeuvre. It was not a T junction so the cyclist did not have to stop."

And some believe both were in the wrong, with one user writing:

"Both taxi driver and cyclist are at fault. If you watch the video at 1080, full screen and x0.25 speed, it is clear that the taxi doesn't start indicating until it has begun the turn. The cyclist shouldn't have been undertaking. "
