During the interval of a basketball game between the Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls, the lady punches and slaps her boyfriend’s arm and the two launch into an argument.

When the man still refuses to kiss his girlfriend Chicago Bull’s mascot Benny the Bull steps in to save the day.

Benny pushes the boyfriend, who remains on his mobile phone throughout, picks up the woman and carries her away in his arms.

The boyfriend seems completely unbothered that Benny had just swept his girlfriend away - which will no doubt cause another fight.

Another hilarious fact, the couple were Celtic fans and Benny is obviously with the Bulls, which made the event all the most interesting to watch.

It is not known whether the girlfriend returned to her text-happy boyfriend or ran off into the sunset with the mascot.
