Luke was born with a terminal heart condition, which has caused his left lung to stop functioning.
When his right lung eventually stops working his family will have no choice but to say goodbye to their little boy.
Before their time with him is over, they wanted to make sure his ultimate wish came true. With the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation he was finally able to ‘fly like superman and be a true hero.’
After his first flight, a delighted Luke ran to him mum and exclaimed: ‘I flied on my own didn’t I?’
His mum Sarah said: ‘The wish was a fantastic day and has also really helped his sister Olivia. She knows he is very sick but we still have him for a bit longer and he still has life and fun left in him.’
‘We had a brilliant time and have created some very special memories to remember when he is no longer with us.’
