Bao Bao the panda, who currently lives in Washington D.C’s Smithsonian National Zoo, had her first tumble in the snow with her mother, Mei Xiang.

The 16-month old, labelled as ‘sassy’ by her trainers, was born on 13 August 2013.

Due to weather conditions the D.C. zoo was closed yesterday - but the baby panda’s mood was not dampened whatsoever!

The zoo posted on FB: “Bao Bao, the National Zoo’s baby panda, played for the first time in the snow in Washington, DC on Tuesday.

Bao Bao about to roll down a hill.

She spent time tumbling down the hill, climbing and sliding down trees and pouncing on her mother.

The area of China to which giant pandas are native can be very cold and snowy in the winter.”

If this hasn’t melted your heart on this dark, cold hump day then we don’t know what will.
