Shockingly, eight months into their relationship, police told Megan that her boyfriend – who she had believed was 16 - was infact a 23-year-old woman called Christine Wilson, who had duped Megan into believing she was a boy by using a sex toy.
Police had launched an investigation after another victim had come forward and Megan believes that person told the police about her, too.
In court in 2013 Wilson admitted two charges of obtaining sexual intimacy by fraud after it was revealed she'd seduced another 15-year-old girl in 2008.
However, after hearing that Wilson suffers from gender identity disorder, she avoided jail and was sentenced to serve three years probation and 240 hours community service.
Brave Megan – who ended up in a psychiatric hospital for two years afterwards suffering from depression and self-harm due to her ordeal - has waived her anonymity to tell* Closer* about her horrifying experience.
Megan, from Aberdeen, is now 21 and mum to Logan, three, and Isabella, one. She says: “I know people will find it hard to believe or will just think I'm stupid, but Wilson abused and manipulated me.
"She knew I was inexperienced and she used that to dupe me. I trusted her, never in a million years do you think someone would con you in this way.
"When I found out Chris was a girl, I was disgusted. I scrubbed myself in the shower for hours afterwards.
"It was sickening, I thought he was my first love but I had no idea."
