Anyone who has planned and organised a wedding knows how much time, effort and money goes into making sure all your guests are comfortable.
So you can imagine the anger one bride felt when two of her guests didn’t show up to her big day.
Even worse, they didn’t call ahead and inform the newlyweds that they would be unable to make it.
As a result, the upset bride sent over a bill for the couple’s meal at £75.
She wrote alongside the cheque: "This cost reflects the amount paid by the bride and groom for meals that were RSVP'd for, reimbursement and explanation for no show, card, call or text would be appreciated.”
The guest in question, Jessica Baker from Minnestoa, claimed that she and her husband were unable to attend as their babysitter had pulled out unexpectedly.
Since the wedding invitation specified ‘no children’, they then felt that they had no choice.
She told KARE 11: "I guess I don't know what the right answer would have been. What the right thing to do would have been.”
