It may almost be June, but, looking at the weather outside, you’d be forgiven for thinking we were in the depths of winter.
And now the Met Office has released a yellow warning of wind for south and south east England.
Hurrah!
The Met Office warning for May 29 reads: "A narrow band of heavy rain will be accompanied by squally winds as it moves east across southern and southeastern parts of England over the next few hours.
“We are likely to see winds of 50-60mph in some places."
People are being advised to take extra care due to the less than gentle breezes, which are expected to cause travel delays and disruption.
"The public are advised to take extra care due to the localised squally winds and heavy rain,” the Met Office said.
Always fun when you’re heading home for the weekend, right?
But, before you start sobbing over the lack of barbecues, pub gardens and picnics this weekend, there is still a glimmer of hope when it comes to sunshine.
The weekend forecast is busily predicting periods of sunshine on Saturday (May 30) and temperatures of 16C…
Which will, annoyingly, be followed by yet more cloud and rain on Sunday (May 31).
Roll on summer already!
