It’s official; Friday 10th April 2015 is going to be the hottest day of the year so far.

With temperatures expected to reach a startling 21C, it’s expected to be nothing but blue skies and sunshine tomorrow.

Which, we imagine, is going to lead to quite a few people ringing in sick. After all, who can resist the lure of a picnic in the park?

Sadly, however, the sunshine is here for just one day only.

A spokesman for the Met Office has revealed that a fresh breeze will sweep in over the weekend - and the northwest of England will see showers.

And more rain is expected on Sunday.

Sigh. Guess we all better make the most of it while we can, eh?
