Thursday is set to be the hottest day of the year so far, with estimates from the Met Office reaching 30C.
The news follows flooding in the UK last week, after large nation-wide downpours caused by slow-moving bands of rain.
Temperatures are set to rise all the way through the week, peaking on Thursday when the baking hot weather will coincide with polling day.
The weather is tipped to reach 30C in some areas and the high 20s in the South.
But will it last?
Unfortunately, it’s not all sunshine.
The BBC says: “Increasingly warm and humid air will arrive from France later on Wednesday, bringing with it an increased risk of thunderstorms.”
Festival-goers this weekend have been warned to pack wellies and umbrellas for Glastonbury this week, because the freak heatwave may trigger extreme thunderstorms.
It’s likely to go back to normal after this week, so don’t chuck your warmer clothes in the attic just yet!
