It sounds like something straight out of a movie, but the story of these two twins, separated at birth, coming together via the powers of social media is completely true.
In February 2013, Anaïs, a French fashion design student living in London, saw a YouTube video of Samantha, an American actor living in Los Angeles.
She was blown away - because the woman on her computer screen was her absolute double.
After a few light Google stalking sessions, Anaïs and her friends discovered that both girls were born on 19th November 1987 - and that both were adopted shortly after.
Anaïs knew immediately that it was possible for Samantha to be her biological twin sister and reached out to her through Facebook.
The two began speaking on Skype, via text and any other means of communication possible - and, after comparing baby photos, they realised that they could very well be biological twins.
They decided to meet in person for the very first time, with Samantha visiting Anaïs in the UK and Anaïs travelling to Los Angeles to spend time with Samantha.
They then flew to Seoul in Korea, where they visited their adoption agencies to learn more about their past - and what caused them to be separated at birth.
The twins have documented their entire journey on camera - and have now created a Kickstarter campaign to turn their story into a film:
They have said: "With every life-changing moment caught on camera, we need additional funds to put all of the pieces together in post-production.
"We are firm supporters of the social media world. Having access to such a powerful resource as Kickstarter, we are beyond grateful to have the chance to complete this project with the generous support of the people who are truly invested.
"Without the world of social media, we would have never been able to connect."
