Officer Andy Black was working at a shopping centre in Kansas, USA, when he got a call to help a woman who had suffered a seizure.

When he arrived, he found that the woman was shaking and disorientated - and that her husband was dealing with paramedics as she tried to feed their baby.

Speaking with Fox 4 News, he said: “She was still shaking very badly, and I was afraid that she would drop the baby.”

So, without even thinking about it, Officer Black (who has fourteen grandchildren) asked if he could hold the baby for her.

“She had the baby and was putting the bottle in her mouth, and when she gave her to me, she handed me the bottle.

“The baby started crying. I`m a grandpa. I took the bottle, and I fed the baby.”

PLEASE SHARE !!!!!I just had to stop, chat and ask if I may take his photo....Paramedics were helping this little... > >

At that moment, Jilli Nel - a photographer and artist - walked past.

She said: “I saw Officer Black, and there he was, holding this little tiny bundle of joy, just feeding her, the two of them in their own little world.

“It was just a pure moment that I had to capture.”

Jilli added that she hopes her photograph, would remind the world that police officers are people too.

“They dont realise that these are just people, they really are just people, and theyve got hearts too,” she said simply.

It seems to be doing the trick; the photograph has been shared over 160 times on Facebook so far, and has become something of a viral hit online.

All in a day’s work for a grandpa, we say!
