A study has found the most popular reasons for smiling in adults - and you might be surprised by the top five...
The research commissioned by Moshulu, a fashion accessories retailer, found that the average UK adult will smile on average 11 times every single day – more than 232,000 times throughout their life.
It also found that eight out of 10 of us are confident enough to smile at strangers, and most people are happy to grin at someone we don't know around eight times a day.
Whilst this might sound like the world is a much happier place than we originally though, don't get your hopes up just yet - as it was found that two of our 11 smiles a day are fake, as a miserable one in 10 Brits claimed they "don't like smiling".
Oh COME ON now, cheer up people!

Three quarters of people surveyed wished that everyone would smile more often, and found that people smile the most when they hit the very precise age of 22 and a half.
Apparently, the key to a good smile is one that is genuine, warm and friendly.
Not EXACTLY the biggest reveal of the century but nice to have it confirmed by science, eh?
