Top 10 cheating hotspots in the UK revealed

If you're happily married and living in the small Nottinghamshire town of Beeston, then you may want to look away now.

Because, as it turns out, the tiny town - which has a population of just 37,000 people - has been named THE most likely place in Britain for a husband or wife to have an affair.

As if that weren't enough to make you spit your tea out, figures have also revealed that a whopping 941 affairs are taking place there right now.

Anyone else starting to wonder where their spouse is…?

Yes, the Official Infidelity Index 2015 has been released, revealing the top 10 cheating hotspots in the UK.

And, honestly, they all proved to be something of a surprise to us; they all tend to be smaller towns, with a lot less people in them.

Psychologist Lucy Redford explained the findings to The Independent, saying: "There are many reasons people have affairs in small towns like Beeston.

"Often, when passion has left a relationship, but people don’t want to fracture their home status or disrupt a family unit, and they’re not willing to compromise their sex lives, an affair becomes tempting."

But there is still hope for marrying and living happily ever after; married dating website Illicit Encounters also revealed the most FAITHFUL town in the whole of Britain.

Yup, loved-up couples should apparently set up home in Craigavon in Northern Ireland, where just 0.04% of the population are having an affair.
