Inquisitive toddler, Teagan Culverhouse, was rescued by fire-fighters after getting her head stuck in a potty training toilet seat cover.

Her parents, Emily and David Culvershouse said: ''We tried to put butter around it to help it slide over but it wouldn't work, we also tried olive oil and Fairy liquid.''

The two-year-old from Somerset was eager to use her new Minnie Mouse training seat but got into a spot of bother when she put it over her head instead of on the toilet seat. Her 24-year-old mother told The Mirror: ''At first we thought it was quite funny, but then when we started trying to get it off we just couldn't get it over her ears.”

The Sales rep bought the cover the same day her toddler decided to play with it. “My husband went upstairs to give her a bath and put her in her pyjamas, he was just putting something away and when he turned around the seat was around her neck.”

According to reports the couple marched the embarrassed toddler down the street, knocking on doors to ask neighbours if they had any cutting equipment. After calling 111 they were advised to dial 999 and ask for the fire brigade, which rushed to their Somerset home in Frome and freed the youngster with cutting gear.
