Alina Roberts, whom was 22 weeks pregnant, collapsed while returning her 2-year-old son Benjamin from a trip to Lanes Farm in Breaston, Derbyshire.
When the pair failed to arrive home, the 33-year-old’s worried husband quickly raised the alarm.
Family members started searching for them and Alex Roberts contacted the police.
Almost a day after she had failed to return home, police eventually found Alina’s car parked by the side of a residential street in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.
The pregnant teacher was found dead at the wheel of her car.
And little Benjamin, who had wriggled free from his carseat, was cuddled up to his late mother’s body.
It is thought that Alina had suddenly felt ill at the driver’s seat, so pulled over to the side of the road.
A coroner's investigation has been launched - but police have ruled out suicide or suspicious circumstances.
Her husband said: "Benjamin is fine but he was obviously scared and frightened. He had been in the car all that time.
"It's completely devastating to know she won't be able to see Benjamin growing up and what should have been our bigger family.
"I will miss living our lives together and sharing those experiences with her."
Our thoughts are with Alina Roberts’ family at this tragic time.
