Graham and Fiona Haddow had popped into an art gallery, leaving their dog Fern in the back of the car, when she decided to show them how unhappy she was for being left out.
After just five minutes, Fern jumped into the front seat and started blasting the horn. As the noise continued, passers-by stopped and started to film her.
By the time the Haddow's returned to their car 15 minutes later, they found a crowd had assembled.
'When I got closer, I realised people were pointing and laughing and taking pictures,' said Mr Haddow, 58. 'She was sitting in there casually honking the horn.'
Mrs Haddow added: 'It was as is fhb was saying: "Where have you been? I've been waiting,"'
'She is a bit of a diva, she just wants a bit of attention.'
