Jared Hill, 18, was diagnosed with testicular cancer in September, and was told that the smallest infection picked up from the outside world could have serious implications for his health.

Wanting to attend his girlfriend Emily Jarrell's prom, he was told he'd need to wear a medical mask to protect himself.

But rather than let the teenager, who has been undergoing chemotherapy for the illness, suffer alone - 17 of his pals wore masks to support him.

'We don't want him to feel uncomfortable or alone, and we didn't want people to make fun of him or think he was weird for wearing a mask so we all wore them to prom,' said pal Simone Beaty.

'Since there was so many of us, it made me feel not so alone,' Jared said. 'It helped a lot.'

'It makes me feel real happy to have such great friends,' he added.

What a heart warming story, don't you think?
