Gaby Scanlon, from Lancashire, shockingly had to have her entire stomach removed after drinking the lethal cocktail - a Nitro-Jagermeister - which was served at Oscar’s Wine Bar in the country.

Oscar’s have now been fined £100K for serving the dangerous concoction - which left Ms Scanlon with a gaping hole in her stomach.

After a CT scan revealed the terrifying injuries Gaby had sustained from the £3.95 drink, the youngster had to spend three weeks in hospital, where her oesophagus was attached directly to her small bowel.

As you can imagine, the incident has ‘completely changed’ the now 20-year-old’s life.

Alongside suffering from episodes of ‘agonising pain,’ Gaby will also face a lifelong struggle to avoid certain foods.

Describing the moment she sipped the lethal cocktail, Gaby said:

‘Smoke was coming from my nose and mouth. Straight away I knew something was not right. My stomach expanded.’

The liquid nitrogen was used to create a stylish cloud of smoke in the glass - but individuals are meant to wait for the substance to completely evaporate before drinking.

The bar’s barrister, Kevin McLoughlin, said the establishment was mortified and apologised to Ms Scanlon.
