Vincent Parker admitted to killing his parents one week before Christmas after growing tired of their punishments, which he claims included: ‘taking away my iPod and stuff.’

The 16-year-old told police that he doused his mother with pepper spray before stabbing her in the eye and beating her with a baseball bat.

When his father returned home he struck him with a crowbar and stabbed him repeatedly.

He stood trial for 2 counts of second-degree murder.

Speaking in court he said: ‘I just remember getting mad… It’s all from my dad. All this stuff like my dad taking away my iPod and stuff.’

His lawyer told the jury: ‘He is a smart young man… He is smart in school. I don’t know what happened.’

‘I want him to get some type of counselling… Help him to grow up and be an understanding man. Be sorry for what he did do. I told him to ask God to forgive him for what he did.’

Vincent’s grandmother told local news that she has forgiven her grandson.

‘If I don’t forgive him, who will?’ she said.

Vincent will be sentenced at his next court appearance.
