According to police, 15-year-old Marli Hamblin was sunbathing in her driveway, listening to music on her headphones, when her older sister backed out of the garage, accidentally running her over.

According to My Fox Chicago, Marli was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital where she sadly died.
Marli's sister is not facing any charges in this case.
Police officer Erin Behm said: "[She] wasn't paying attention, obviously didn't think there would be anyone in the driveway, and just backed out of the driveway.
"No foul play, it was just a tragic accident.”

Marli's older sister is, understandably, devastated.
Her grandfather said: "She's having a very difficult time, beating herself up, all we can do is encourage her you know, its just an accident, it can happen to anybody at any given time."

Marli’s mother, Lisa, said her daughter was vibrant and full of life - and that she continues to be a 'miracle to others' thanks to the fact she had an organ donor card.
“She is a miracle to others because we’ve decided that, that is what she would want, is to be a donor and so she’s helping others to be able to live on with their families even though she’s not with us,” Hamblin said.
The family created a Facebook page for donations called Miracle for Marliwhen she was admitted to the ICU and her status was very critical.
