Ethan Couch, of Texas, was drunk at the wheel of his truck when he killed four people.
He was three times the legal limit when he killed Breanna Mitchell, 24, Hollie Boyles, 52, and her daughter Shelby Boyles, 21, all of who's families have now accepted an undisclosed sum of money from the Couch's.
The family of the fourth victim, Brian Jennings, 41, have not reached a settlement with the family, according to local news.
Tragically, the four people had been tending to Breanna Mitchell's blown tire when Couch ploughed into them, flipping his truck.
Two boys who were riding in the vehicle with Couch were also injured - one of whom is now paralysed, and can only communicate by blinking his eyes. He requires round the clock care and is described as 'minimally conscious' by his family.
A psychologist working to defend Ethan Couch claimed that the boy suffered from 'affluenza' and that his family's wealth meant he could form no rational link between behaviour and consequences.
Ethan Couch pleaded guilt to intoxication manslaughter and was sentenced to 10 years probation and a treatment programme.
