Whether its a reassuring squeeze of your child’s shoulder or a passionate kiss with your true love, touch is the ultimate human connection and integral to any relationship.

The power of our most emotive sense is captured in a short film by aspiring film director Nimer Rahsed, which charts the life of a couple through just the touching of their hands in 2 minutes 20 seconds.

When asked about the inspiration behind his film, Nimer said: ‘I wanted to make a film that featured a little bit of everything. Touch features love, life, sex, death and rebirth which is about as much as I could think of cramming into one two-minute film.’

The film, ‘Touch’ was this year's winner in a competition by Virgin Media unearthing undiscovered film talent.

The winner of the competition will walk away with £30,000 funding to make their next film, see the other entries here.
