Nothing is cuter than seeing two unlikely friends form an adorable closeness.

A moggy and a European Lynx have become best friends after the big cat found himself sharing his enclosure with his slightly smaller feline friend.

The stray cat found himself in the enclosure at St Petersburg in Russia after he ventured into the Lynx’s territory to find food.

Rather than reject the cat, or worse try and eat her, the lynx accepted her into the fold and now the two are inseparable.

The big and cat and (little) cat are often seen cuddling in the enclosure

After seeing how adorable they are together, the Russian zoo decided to adopt the stray moggy so she could live there permanently.

The cat besties are often seen playing together at the zoo and are even spotted cuddling and grooming each other.

We do wonder though, do they speak the same kitty cat language?

The two cats make 'purrfect' companions!

Many other animals have found unlikely friends in another species, with cats and dogs regularly becoming life long friends.

Even rabbits and cats are seen cuddling in several adorable Youtube videos, amongst many other weird animal couplings!
