Evans was convicted of rape and jailed for five years in April 2012, and was recently released after spending two-and-a-half years inside.
Sheffield United said they will allow the 25-year-old criminal to return to the club to retrain, but have not officially rehired him.
CHED EVANS IS RUINING MY DAUGHTER'S LIFE, SAYS VICTIM'S FATHER
Ched has always maintained the sex he had with the woman in a hotel room in North Wales was consensual, and says he will fight to defend his innocence.
However Charlie Webster, who has had a long history of sports presenting, said the Sheffield club had ‘At no point acknowledged the extremity of his crime.’
‘My decision is made on the fact that I don’t believe a convicted rapist, as in Ched Evans, should go back to a club that I am patron of and should go back into the community to represent the community.’
Webster added that Ched was a ‘role model’ for many young people, and as such she could not condone the decision to let him back in the grounds.
‘We cheer him on as a role model and he’s influencing the next generation of young men who are currently still making their decision on how to treat women and what sexual mutual consent is.’
The issue is especially close to home for Ms Webster, who revealed in an interview earlier in 2014 that she was sexually assaulted as a teenager.
On Wednesday morning, Charlie took to her twitter to thank fans for their support. 'The vast majority are standing with me and saying that this isn't OK,' she wrote.
