When Greg Wickherst split from his partner, his three-year-old little girl Izzy moved in with him.

But little girls love doing their hair don't they? And Greg, who has always had a shaved head, wasn't exactly an expert at braiding.

So he did something about it, and went to the beauty department at the college he works in to pick up some tips.

Speaking to HuffPost, he said: "In no time, I was able to do a simple braid, then a fishbone braid, and a French braid.

"I learned how to do a ponytail, then flip it through itself either under or over. I call that an inverted ponytail. It blew my mind how easy it was to do a bun."

As if he wasn't adorable enough, Greg also discussed life with Izzy.

He said: "My favourite part of the day is when I wake her up and get her out of bed and she's still sleepy, so she nuzzles her face into my neck."

And there's not a minute of single-parenthood that Greg doesn't love.

"The good and the not so good. Even the blowout diapers, the tantrums in the store, and the late, up sick, catching-the-throw-up-in-your-bare-hands nights.

"Because it doesn't last forever."
