Denny Peterson, a gym teacher at Edison High School in Stockton, California, can be seen touching, grabbing, and holding down the young girl, calling for classmates to "tickle" her.

The student, Sandra Garcia, was left with bruises as she attempted to fight the grown man off, and can be seen desperately grabbing at the wall as she screams for help.

The footage below was filmed by one of Sandra's classmates on their mobile phone.

Sandra told CBS Sacramento she refused to get into the pool because she had just had her hair done for an event.

She said: "I told him [I wanted to stay out] because my hair looks cute.

"He told me, 'You always look cute,' and that made me feel really uncomfortable."

Sandra said that, shortly after this, Mr Peterson began chasing her around the pool and manhandling her, despite her vocally saying it was making her uncomfortable.

Sandra's lawyer, Gilbert Somera, told KFOR: "Regardless of her participation (in the class) it should disgust you how this man put his hands on a 14-year-old girl.

"She said multiple times, 'my top is falling down.'"

Peterson is facing a misdemeanor charge of corporal injury of a child, and there may be a lawsuit as well. He has since been placed on paid administrative leave.
