The body of 17-year-old school girl Anneli Mari R has been found a week after she was snatched off the street by kidnappers.
Anneli- who’s full name has not been released- was walking her dog in the German city of Meissen when she was kidnapped and held for ransom for one million euros.
Daughter of a wealthy businessmen, police were attempting to negotiate with the kidnappers in an attempt to get Anneli back home and safe with her family.
Anneli’s family pleaded with her abductors to spare their much loved daughter and said that they would meet any requests that they demanded.
In a horrific turn of events, talks between police and the kidnappers broke down and her body was discovered in a farmyard in the village of Klipphausen, reportedly just a few miles from her home.
Anneli’s bike was found in a ditch and her dog was reportedly found alive in a field on Monday afternoon.
Two men have since been arrested in connection with Anneli’s murder.
The two men were arrested following a raid using armed police over night.
Police in Germany are continuing the investigation.
