June Steenkamp revealed that her daughter hadn’t slept with Pistorius yet, due to doubts about their relationship, and was planning to leave the Paralympian on the night she was killed.
VICTIM'S PARENTS REACT TO OSCAR PISTORIUS SENTENCE
‘She wouldn’t want to sleep with Oscar if she wasn’t sure,’ June told The Times Magazine, adding that she believed their relationship was coming to an end.
‘She had confided to me that she hadn’t slept with him. They’d shared a bed, but she was scared to take the relationship to that level.’

Describing the fateful night Pistorius shot Reeva, June said: ‘Her clothes were packed. There is no doubt in our minds: she had decided to leave Oscar, 27, that night.’
June is releasing a book titled Reeva: A Mother’s Story, in which she goes into depth about her opinions on the relatively new relationship.
‘It was Reeva’s bad luck that she met him, because sooner or later he would have killed someone. I do believe that.’

Steenkamp goes onto describe the Olympic gold medallist as ‘moody,’ ‘gun-toting’ and ‘pathetic.’
And despite the Bladerunner’s assertions that him and the 29-year-old were planning a life together, June says her daughter had nagging doubts about their compatibility.
After the trial ended Barry and June said they were ‘satisfied’ with the sentence, but in her book June describes her issues with Pistorius’ evidence.
‘He said pulling the trigger was ‘an accident.’ What? Four times an accident?’
‘He said Reeva did not scream, but she would definitely have screamed. I know my daughter and she was very vocal.’
Oscar Pistorius was cleared of murder in September, but convicted of Culpable Homicide for shooting Reeva through a locked bathroom door. He has been sentenced to five years in prison.
