Serena Williams has been hailed as ‘Queen’ of Wimbledon after walking away with her 21st grand slam title.

The 33-year-old managed to fend off Spanish tennis ace Garbine Muguruza in today’s final, making it her sixth Wimbledon title overall.

Incredibly, the American sportswoman is now the holder of all four major tennis titles, dubbed the ’Serena Slam’.

Following her win, the star said: "There was definitely pressure towards the end.””

She continued: “Garbine started playing really well and I just had to think to stay out there and work really hard.

"I am having so much fun out on the court. Everyday is a pleasure to be playing and winning Wimbledon."

Obviously delighted with her win, Serena added: "I can't believe I am standing here with another 'Serena Slam’.

"It is so cool. It has been a pleasure and an honour to give so many years in this unbelievable place."
