Brave Katie Morris has spoken out about a violent attack by a group of bullies from her school. The 12 year old was subjected to a horrific attack for wearing the wrong clothes.

She was knocked unconscious after being viciously beaten by a gang of girls, who kicked her in the face, punched her and pushed her into stinging nettles.

A video of the attack, which took place on 23 June, was filmed by a bystander, who later passed the footage onto Katie’s mum, Antonia. She posted the horrific footage online to show people the extent of the shocking attack.

Now, Katie, from Leicestershire has spoken out about the bullies who she claims picked her out for wearing the wrong kind of clothes. “It was horrific I wish it had never happened,” Katie told the Mirror. “They'd been bullying me for a while and I'd never said anything back before.

"They said I got my stuff from a charity shop and I'd just had enough. I said they got their lives from a charity shop.”

She then emotionally told of how the bullies started to beat her mercilessly. “That's when they started hitting me,” Katie said.

“They grabbed hold of my hair on the field and pulled me to the floor. I tried standing up, and when I did they pulled my hair and pushed me back down. I went unconscious and I think I woke up when one of them kicked me in the face - that's what hurt my mouth and nose.

"I don't like going out anymore because I don't like being around people my age. I don't really know what to do now.”

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police has confirmed the incident is being investigated, saying: “We are aware that a video of an alleged assault in Ashby has been circulated on social media.

“The video relates to an altercation involving two teenage girls in Ashby on the Tuesday, June 23. Both parties have been identified and inquiries are underway into the report.”
