Aaron Parfitt, was so unhappy with the lack of work, he protested in frustration.

Speaking to a UK newspaper, Aaron said: “I was really worried because I just wanted to make sure I was able to do the work properly.

“We’ve had lots of different teachers and we aren’t getting enough homework so I decided to call the council and Ofsted to see if they would help me but they wouldn’t.”

Not satisfied with the lack of help from the council and Ofsted, Aaron decided to hold a protest.

“I got fed up in the end so I held a protest with some friends and we walked out on to the field,” he said. “Then loads more people started to follow me. There must have been around 100 people with me in the end and everyone sent me messages after saying well done.”

Instead of being praised for wanting more work, Aaron’s teachers at Bispham high School in Blackpool were not impressed and suspended him for three days.

Aaron’s mother Janet, 52, has spoken out in his defence, insisting: “He was sticking up for himself and his mates and he gets told to stay away from school.”

Last year, Ofsted said that the school had ‘mediocre teaching’ and ‘low standards’ and it was placed in special measures.

Acting head teacher Deborah Hanlon-Catlow said: “We continue to work with Ofsted, staff, parents, pupils and all other stakeholders towards gradual improvement.”

Aaron has now been allowed to return to school, on the basis he does not conduct any more protests.
