In a turn of events that sounds like its come straight out of Hollywood, a man dressed as Santa is on the run after taking a man hostage.

The man, who was wearing a Father Christmas outfit, is being hunted by Brazilian police after he rented a helicopter where he told the pilot he wanted to take part in a ‘Black Friday surprise’.

Sinister as it sounds, the Santa Claus then hijacked the aircraft, forcing the pilot to land on a farm just outside of the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.

Another man then helped ‘Santa’ tie up the pilot, according to The Mirror.

Santa and his little helper then took the helicopter without the pilot.

Police have been searching for the expensive aircraft but have yet to find the naughty Santa Claus.

Surely Santa can rely on his reindeer rather than commandeer a helicopter?!
