Customers at the hotel eatery in Anambra, Nigeria raised their suspicions to police, who then raided the restaurant.
Upon entering the kitchen, the police discovered fresh human heads, still bleeding, which were being stored in the back, and that some human flesh was being served up as food.
They also discovered automatic weapons in the establishment, the BBC reports.
One local said they had been suspicious about the restaurant for some time.
‘Every time I went to the market, I observed strange activities going on in the hotel.’
‘People who were never cleanly dressed and looked a bit strange made their way in and out of the hotel…I am not surprised at the shocking revelation,’ they added.
Police have apparently arrested 10 people in connection with the crime.
