Cara Duggan took to Gumtree and attempted to buy a NutriBullet for her mum, who was recently diagnosed with stage four oesophageal cancer.
She told Buzzfeed News: “A while after her last chemo session Mum’s legs started swelling which turned out to be blood clots, but as they were undiagnosed they had travelled to her lungs. Apparently, this is a really common side effect of chemo. These blood clots have left her with no energy and she’s been really struggling with nausea, so we decided to get her a juicer.
Oh my goodness...for anyone doubting that there is good left in the world... Today I emailed a stranger on gumtree... > >

“We were already fundraising to cover costs of therapies and supplements for the cancer, so we couldn’t really afford a new one, hence why we reached out about the second-hand one.”
After hearing that the kitchen gadget was a quick and easy way to make nutritious juices for her mum, Cara responded to an advert selling the second hand NutriBullet.
Due to lack of funds, Cara had to ask the seller- named Argos- to pay for the delivery costs.
When the mum-of-two explained about her mother’s cancer, the NutriBullet seller did something amazing out of the kindness of his heart.
He messaged her: “I’m sorry to hear that your mum have cancer just send me your address i will post it you and you don’t have to pay for it. I will also pray for your mum. And if there is anything i can do for you plz let me know (sic).”
Cara expressed her gratitude, but was then sent another message from ‘Argos’.
It explained how they had ordered a brand new NutriBullet for Cara and her mum!
The message read: “Its paid now plz collect it today as i don’t want you and your mum to wait for nutribullet. If you have any problem collecting order or need any info to collect the order plz don’t hesitate to contact me(sic).”
When a gobsmacked Cara asked them to clarify that it was brand new, Argos write back: “I bought a new one and its paid for. You just need to collect it.”
If you didn’t already think that Argos was one of the kindest people in the UK, they then wrote: “Don’t say thanks to me. In fact thanks to you for giving me this opportunity.”
Cara later told Buzzfeed: “The cynic in me didn’t really believe the Nutribullet would be there until the woman actually handed it across the counter.”
But there it was, a brand new NutriBullet bought by a complete stranger!
