On its website, the NHS says: “You shouldn’t ever be made to feel uncomfortable about breastfeeding in public.
“In fact, the Equality Act 2010 has made it illegal for anyone to ask a breastfeeding woman to leave a public place such as a cafe, shop or public transport.”
However, despite this, many establishments ask that women do so ‘discreetly’, with many requesting that they ‘cover up’ whilst nursing.
But, when the mums of Breastfeeding Mama Talk came across a sign ordering them to do just this, they decided to share their own hilarious response.
Taking the sign quite literally, they dumped shirts and blankets over their own heads while their babies were being fed.

The images have received mixed reactions on social media.
One woman wrote: “I love it! my daughter will not breastfeed if I cover her head.”
Another added: “My son has been ’subjected to’ women breastfeeding in public at various points in his life. He asked ONCE what she was doing. I explained she was feeding her baby her own milk.
“He thought that was cool and went on with what he was doing. END OF STORY. He felt no need to gawk or stare.
“He wasn't ‘embarrassed’ or ‘traumatized’. His eyes didn't melt or fall out. A baby was fed. Life went on.”
However one mother wrote: “Geez what is the issue? Just cover yourself! How could you possibly think it's appropriate to whip out your boob in public?!
“We understand that feeding your child is a natural process of life...so is having sex! Do you think it's appropriate to do that in public? Show some humility.”
