Casey Kilcup's son Brison died when he was only four months old, after he stopped breathing and doctors were unable to resuscitate him.
Since then, his mother has been overcome with grief - and only recently felt strong enough to return to work.
Ever since then, Casey has kept her little boy’s hospital bracelets with her, as a way of remaining close to Brison now that he has gone.
But the mother was left heartbroken when a callous thief stole her handbag, which contained the cherished bracelets.
Taking to Facebook, Casey shared a message searching for the person who had taken her very special memento.
However what the brave mother had to say may surprise some of you.
She wrote:
To whoever stole my wallet out of my car last night, there's a few things I'd like you to know.
*First of all, the money that was in there was from my first paycheck after resuming work since my son died in January. I hope the money goes to good use, if you had to steal it then you needed it more than me. *
*I wish you had knocked on my door, because I am honestly the type of person to hand out money to people in need. *
*If it was used for drugs then please take whatever you have left and check yourself into rehab. For one day you may steal from the wrong person, and not get away. *
However the money does not concern me, nor the license, medical cards or checkbook. All I ask is that one thing be returned.
*Two hospital bracelets, one sized for a baby and one for an adult. The date on them is September 12, 2014.
Those bracelets were on my son and I the day he was born, the same son that passed away in January.
Since then we have saved every item of his, and I carried those bracelets to remind me of how blessed I am to be the mother of an angel.
So please, if you see this, know that I will pray for you.
I am so sorry for you and the difficult life circumstances you must face, but please, bring back my baby boys things, no questions asked.*

I already forgive you.

Since it was posted on the 26th July, Casey’s message has been shared more than 3,700 times.
Speaking to ABC News, she explained that she had only been away from the car for about ten minutes when the wallet was taken, as she had gone inside to tuck her toddler daughter rip into bed.
She said: "I was crying because I immediately knew the bracelets were in there.
"I felt guilty and I felt dumb for leaving my wallet with those in it.
"It's the only piece of him that we don't have now."
She added: "I hope that somebody does give the bracelets back, or, tells me where they’ve dumped the wallet.
"Those are the only two things we don’t have of him."
