Martin Babak Lyon attacked his 16-year-old victim in Buckinghamshire, in November 2012, Thames Valley Police said.

In a bid to stop the girl from talking, Lyon took photographs of her after the attack, telling her that he would put them on the internet if she ever told on him.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Thomas Gregory said at Reading Crown Court: "The sentence given to Lyon demonstrates that the courts take incidents such as these very seriously.

"I hope the sentence brings some closure to the victim, who was only 16 at the time.

"She was incredibly brave to report the offences to the police and then to give evidence at court.

"I commend the victim for the courage she has demonstrated during this very traumatic period."

The 21-year-old attacker was convicted of three counts of rape and one of taking an indecent photograph of a child.

He was sentenced to nine years in prison at Reading Crown Court.
