When a baby starts crying during a lecture or a screening, most people would (sadly) roll their eyes or look on sympathetically at the parent as they tried to hush their child.

But one university lecturer decided to give his students a helping hand when their little ones get restless.

A photo of Jerusalem Hebrew University lecturer Sydney Engelberg has been doing the rounds on the Internet, and the reason why is truly magical.

When a student baby started crying, he simply took him in his arms and walked around with him to calm him down, all the while continuing with his sociology lecture.

Amazing!

The legendary teacher’s daughter Sarit Fishbaine explained to Buzzfeed News: “There’s a lot of young moms and a lot of them have babies, and he encourages them to just bring their babies to class.”

“My dad just loves kids and loves babies, he has five grandchildren, so he just takes the baby.

“He’s the one that’s in motion, he’s walking around the class. So he just takes the baby and continues teaching.”

Mr Engelbery also reportedly lets his students breastfeed during his classes.

Sarit added: “The way he sees the concept of getting education is not only learning the dry facts that you need to learn in class, but also learning values. And that’s the very important message that my dad wants to endow to the world.”

What a great man!
