The married teenager, who was just 16 when she collapsed whilst pregnant and was pronounced dead, was heard to be screaming for help a day after being buried.

Neysi Perez’s husband heard his wife ‘banging and screaming’ from inside her concrete tomb in Honduras (Central America), in something that seemed like a scene from a horror film.

Her family scrambled to release her, prising open the tomb where she was buried in an attempt to free Neysi - who was buried in her wedding dress.

But tragically, after attempts to try and revive Ms Perez, she was pronounced dead and buried in the same place she had been originally.

It is now believed that Ms Perez’s collapse may have been down to a panic attack when she heard a burst of gunfire.

Her family believed she may have been possessed by an evil spirit after she started foaming at the mouth, and so called a priest to exorcise her.

Three hours later she became lifeless and was rushed to hospital, where she was declared dead.

After the ordeal, doctors noted that Perez had bruises on her fingers and scratches on her forehead as if she had tried to get out of her coffin.
