Pink Gorillas on the run for Cancer Research UK’s Race For Life!

If you happened to be strolling through London this week, you may have seen a group of bright pink Gorilla’s parading around the capital, all in aid of Cancer Research’s annual Race For Life.

The cuddly creatures were out in force – we love how confused so many commuters looked – to drum up support for the event, by offering ‘selfies’ and performing, en masse, the Cancer Slam.

Head of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, Emma Hyatt, explained:

“Cancer has messed with one too many of us. But we’ve got something to tell cancer: we’re coming to get you... and we’ve brought gorillas!

“We want all women from across the UK, regardless of their age, shape or fitness level, to join us and unite against cancer at Race for Life this summer. Every step taken and every pound raised at Race for Life will help to fund our life-saving research into all 200 types of cancer.”

Over the past 20 years, the race has raised over £526 million pounds for the charity!

The event is in it's 20th year and has raised over £526 MILLION for Cancer Research
