Hamster parents "Oreo", "Madonna" and their three babies were trapped inside a burning mobile home in Washington, US, at the weekend after a fire was triggered by a faulty tumble dryer. The house was empty apart from the furry family, and their owner arrived home to find her pets being given emergency treatment by the brave firefighters.
The Lacey Fire Department posted pictures of the adorable creatures on Twitter, explaining that their crews were specially trained to treat animals, prompting Twitter users to hail them as "true heroes."
