Pitbull Cher was in a kill shelter before she was saved by a California organisation and taken in as a foster dog.

Her new foster owner, Mia Anelli, thought Cher would just be like all the other dogs she'd taken in. Until she saw her interact with other canines.

Whenever a new puppy would show up, Cher would cuddle them and shower them with affection.

Despite never having any puppies herself, Cher loved the baby dogs so much and would clean and cuddle them all day.

The adorable pit bull has taken dozens of pups under her wing, almost as if she wants to return the favour for being saved herself.

Cher helps the pups to adjust to their new surroundings and teaches them important doggie life skills - so that they are in tip top condition for being adopted in to a new home.

Mia Anelli said: 'I had no ida she would respond the way she did. Maybe it's because she too is a rescue and she feels that connection or maybe it's her way of being the mom she never was.'
