With the world still reeling from Friday’s horrendous terror attacks in Paris survivors have come forward with their eye witness accounts.

News has also emerged that 36-year-old Nick Alexander from Colchester in Essex is amongst the 129 killed.

Mr Alexander was selling band merchandise at the Eagles of Death Metal concert at the Paris Bataclan venue when men armed with explosives and guns opened fire at the crowd.

His friend and former girlfriend Helen Wilson told The Mirror how she tried to revive him after he was shot. She was also shot in the leg during the attack.

Nick Alexander was with a close friend when he died

She said: “Then he couldn’t breathe any more and I held him in my arms and told him I loved him.”

Ms Wilson then added: “He was the love of my life.”

His family have described Mr Alexander as ‘everyone’s best friend’ and that he died ‘doing the job he loved’.

Prime Minister David Cameron has warned there could be further British casualties as French authorities identify the remaining victims.

Our thoughts go out to Mr Alexander’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
