Just one week after Islamist militants targeted the offices of magazine Charlie Hebdo, a female police officer has been targeted.

She was run down by a car outside the palace, leaving her with injuries to her wrist.

Although it remains unclear as to whether or not this latest attack is linked to the others, police have arrested two 19-year-olds from the same town as one of the gunman involved.

Both suspects are said to be from Juvisy-sur-Orge, where Amedy Coulibaly was born.

Amedy died last Friday after attacking a Jewish supermarket in the city and killing four hostages.

Police eventually shot him down after a stand-off that lasted three hours.
