Two-year-old Max could easily be mistaken for a little girl, but he is in fact a little boy - and his parents have revealed that they've adopted an unorthodox 'gender neutral' parenting technique, to improve his understanding of women.
Dressing him in both boys and girls clothes, father Martin explained to Barcroft TV: "He might be just playing dress up, it might be something he does in years to come, but at the end of the day we're just following how he wants to be.
"We listen to him very carefully."
His mother Lisa added: "Gender neutral parenting is giving a child the freedom to choose between stereotypically male or female coshes or toys.
"He likes what he likes. He doesn't conform to one or the other, really.
"If we allow Max to play with dolls and fesses, he will become whoever he is without society telling him he has to be a certain way."

Father Martin added: "If he wanted to wear the dress, let him wear the dress. if he likes pink, he likes pink and if he likes blue, he likes blue.
"It's down to him."
The open-minded parents are hoping their 'gender neutral' techniques will instil a sense of confidence and self-worth into their young son - and help him forge his own path in the future.
